Team Building
- Modules designed for delivery in a classroom setting for groups of 10 to 300 or more. Duration of the modules range from a day to two full days. Goals and objectives for each session are derived via discussion and consultation with the client. The intent of this consultation is to ascertain the status and cohesiveness of the existing team and the presence and level of understanding of goals and roles within the team. Depending upon the collective team status team maturity and the duration of program desired – various modules are combined to form a program agenda. These modules consist of team goal setting, team role determination, team operation rule determination, team status assessment, action plan creation, mapping of team objectives to overall business plans and the management of a team through a model of team assessment – the SHAPED model. The intent of the team building curriculum is to increase the probability of team success in meeting a set of objectives required by the sponsoring business. This is done via increasing team capabilities for the current as well as future projects, and training management in the creation of teams, team mission derivation and monitoring of teams.
Project Management
- Modules designed for delivery in a classroom setting for groups of 5 to 25 people. Duration of the modules are from a day to three full days. Goals and objectives for each session are derived via discussion and consultation with the client. The intent of this consultation is to ascertain the status of the level of project management knowledge, experience and the existence of project management disciplines in the client environment. Depending upon the clients project management program maturity, modules are combined to form a program agenda. These modules consist of an examination of project management organizations, networks and information sources, establishing structure to managing projects, tools for managing projects, project relationships, establishing the project team, project planning steps, managing to a project plan, managing scope, managing team members, quality assurance reviews, and technical project reviews. The intent of the project management curriculum is to increase the probability of project completion in a successful manner as defined by the project owner/requestor. This is done via increasing project management skills, developing the tools that increase insight in managing projects, and training project managers to apply their skills across projects within, and outside of their technical background(s).
Motivational Programs
- These are sub-modules designed for delivery in a classroom setting as part of the team building and project management modules discussed above, or delivery in a auditorium setting in stand-alone fashion. These are designed for delivery to groups from 5 to 300 people. Duration is from 30 minutes to one day. Goals and objectives for each session are focused on two primary elements; self-motivation of each employee by each employee and motivation of a team by a leader. Using a combination of humor, insightful stories and anecdotes, and viewing situations from varying perspectives, positive self-awareness in individuals is enhanced. Presentation of techniques that include personality trait recognition and situational leadership enhance the team leaders abilities to recognize team member capabilities, preferred communication styles and confidence levels. Understanding these elements for each team member enhance the team leaders ability to direct, motivate and drive team success. These motivational modules can be appropriately delivered to both the business and personal lives of the recipients.
The above module sets can be applied singly or together to form education programs for the client. These education programs can be delivered together in an intensive curriculum, or over time to improve the various elements of individual and team performance. The benefits of the module sets both interrelate and bolster each other. A motivated employee can work as a team leader or as part of a team, and can be successful at both. Motivated employees can spark and/or lead a team, with appropriate training. Effective teams are a must in producing successful projects, which require carefully formulated and applied management to ensure success.

A Roadmap for Your Diversity Journey
R. Roosevelt Thomas, Jr.’s Building a House for Diversity is used as a framework for this session. Thomas uses a powerful metaphor involving giraffes and elephants to help folks grasp the importance and impact of diversity within an organization. Explore the concept of diversity and assess your organization’s readiness to embark on a diversity journey. Reviews attributes of successful diversity champions and discuss how your individual can trails promote the diversity vision and mission of your organization.

- Sessions from one hour to an entire day are scheduled to help the individual determine their paths, options, opportunities and gifts as they develop their careers. Sessions are frank, honest and straightforward as the coach probes and explores the possibilities to lead one into and through a career that is enriching and rewarding.
Leadership
- Explore the characteristics, behaviors and capabilities that create a great leader. Real life examples, both historical and modern day are presented. Class discussion and dialogue center around the pitfalls and the success of a variety of leadership styles.
Mentoring
- People development is the number one requirement of a successful leader. To keep a business thriving succession planning and the ongoing development of the skills of your team is critical. Mentoring addresses this challenge by bridging the gap between knowledge and understanding. In this class you will develop your skills to coach, communicate, co-mentor and bring out the best in others; thereby bringing out the best in you. Anyone and everyone can coach and mentor. You will learn five keys to coaching and mentoring, the “do’s and don’ts” and you will discuss real life examples of the challenges and triumphs of mentoring.

- Getting things done can often be a challenge. Particularly when it is an unwanted task or duty. The critical success factors for getting things done through others is addressed in this session. How to communicate, what to say, when to say it, body language, non-verbals, breaking down barriers to communication and finding the secret to successful execution and consistent results are shared in this session.
Goal Development/Management Constraints: Getting More Done
- Generating more results is a theme in every organization. Accomplishing more is a need that we’re all feeling. Often this objective is accompanied by the pressure of “doing more with less.” And what exactly is it that you should be doing more of? Once that question is answered, are everyone’s efforts aligned for achievement?
- This course is about defining an organization’s goal, then educating and inspiring people to pursue it. Obstacles are examined, such as individual and team goals that conflict with the organizations needs. Deploying other resources is discussed: money, training, physical arrangements, etc. Addressing throughput constraints will be covered both in theory and through actual workplace examples.
Making Change Your Competitive Advantage
- This is a companion course offering to “Goal Development/Management Constraints: Getting More Done.” This course discusses changing business paradigms, understanding organizational paradoxes, and elements to successfully managing change in your work world. Horizontal collaboration, operational capabilities and understanding and reacting to your business platform are also addressed.
Conflict Resolution and Productively Working with Anyone
- This course discusses the challenges of conflict in the working world and in your daily life. The ability to resolve conflicts at home or at work is the key to a productive happy life. Communication techniques and understanding others are key components to overcoming this daily obstacle of working and living with people that aren’t like you.
